Friends of Te Whanganui-o-Hei Marine Reserve Trust
Te Whanganui-O-Hei Marine Reserve, established in 1992, protects 9km² of ocean where fishing is banned, allowing marine life to thrive. The Friends of Te Whanganui-O-Hei Trust, formed in 2010, raises funds for conservation and education, including free delivery of the Experiencing Marine Reserves programme to local schools.

Tairawhiti Environment Centre
The Tairāwhiti Environment Centre (TEC) is a not-for-profit community hub advocating for the environment since 1990. It runs outreach projects, workshops, and supports sustainability across the region. TEC connects people, ideas, and ecosystems, collaborating with GDC, DOC, iwi/hapū, and local groups. It also operates a recycling depot and social enterprises. TEC welcomes new members, sponsors, and project ideas to help build a sustainable future for Tairāwhiti.

Sustainable Hawke's Bay
Sustainable Hawke’s Bay (formerly the Hawke's Bay Environment Centre) is a registered charity serving the region for over 30 years. Based in Hastings, it empowers communities across Napier, Wairoa, and Central Hawke’s Bay to engage in sustainable practices and environmental stewardship. Their initiatives include zero waste education, specialist recycling, biodiversity regeneration, and climate resilience programs.

Hawke’s Bay
Tāngata o Te Wai Dive Trust
Tāngata o Te Wai Dive Trust is a charitable organisation based in Hawke’s Bay, dedicated to enhancing water safety and dive education through a kaupapa Māori lens. It offers marae-based wānanga that blend practical diving skills with mātauranga Māori, aiming to strengthen whānau connections to wai and promote safe kai gathering practices. The Trust collaborates with us to support rangatahi and whānau in building confidence and competence in the moana via our Experiencing Marine Reserves (EMR) programme.
