Ever wondered what lives beneath your local wai?

Our experienced guides will lead you on a community snorkel at your local beach or lake. You will have the opportunity to spot all kinds of marine or freshwater life up close!

You will join us for an hour+ session, exploring the waters around your local coast or lake via snorkel. Encounter fish such as parore, snapper, and spotties, other marine life, reefs, or native freshwater fish in lakes. Learn about some of the challenges facing our blue spaces and some of the awesome protection already being carried out in the area you explore.


Meet other passionate nature-loving individuals and share ideas for what future protection and restoration efforts could look like.

Why people enjoy it

Your snorkeling experience will be lead by our expert guides, who work hard to ensure you have a good time while staying safe in the water. You'll meet like-minded locals, learn something new about your community and what lives beneath the water, and come home with a fresh understanding of ecology and conservation.

Age range

Typically recommended for everyone 4 years and up. All children 14 years or under must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Experienced guides and advanced safety procedures will be in place on the day.

If you're curious to meet marine fauna first-hand , and are able to commit to a full session in the water, then this is for you!
