Catchment Communities
Identifying and solving issues in your local catchment

We collaborate with catchment groups, made up of landowners, community groups, schools and Māori, to investigate and care for their local waterways, inspiring action, building kaitiakitanga, and improving freshwater health.
How we can work together
Concerned about your local awa, lake, estuary or other wai? Share your aims with us and we will work with you and your community group to restore the health of your local freshwater system.
Our work combines a scientific approach with mātauranga Māori for a comprehensive plan of action, improving waterways with monitoring, restoration and community engagement.
