John Dory - Kuparu
Zeus faber

John Dory are stealthy, solitary predators found near the seabed. With their olive-yellow, laterally compressed bodies, they can hardly be seen from the front. Their large eyes give them excellent vision for hunting, while a false eye spot helps confuse prey. Once close, they use their extendable mouths to engulf smaller fish like sardines and squid. John Dory use low-pitched grunts from their swim bladder and grow to 40–60 cm, with long dorsal spines. A master of camouflage and ambush.
