Welcome to Mountains to Sea

Kia ora e hoa

Great to hear that you are interested in becoming a Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust volunteer!

How you'll hear from us

We will be sending correspondence emails out via our Northland/Auckland Volunteer Mailer, please make sure you are signed up to this mailer and have tracey.p@mountainstosea.org.nz and callum@mountainstosea.org.nz saved as contacts. If you move the mailer from your promotions folder you won't miss out on volunteering/training opportunities.

Opportunities

As a volunteer, you can participate in riparian planting, snorkel guiding, marine and freshwater data collection, school delivery support, event support, and stream guiding through our Experiencing Marine Reserves and Whitebait Connection programmes.

Training

Experiencing Marine Reserves (EMR)

Volunteers with our Experiencing Marine Reserves programme will need to have read the EMR training module and completed this quiz. The quiz is open book so please feel free to reference the training module as you go along.

We run several training days prior to the event season that will help prepare you if you would like to be a volunteer snorkel guide. You can view these training opportunities and more through our Eventbrite!

Whitebait connection

Volunteer training modules for our Whitebait Connection programme will be coming soon! Keep an eye out for your emails about upcoming volunteer opportunities.
