Whangārei Holiday Programme

The Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust is offering an exciting experience for children aged 8 to 16 years to get outdoors and engage with the environment. We are providing a full day of activities, including transportation from 8 First Avenue, Whangārei, for up to 20 children each day. The activities will focus on helping tamariki learn about the environment (Taiao) firsthand, understand its significance, and discover ways to protect it—from the mountains to the sea.

This day will include a freshwater investigation session and a marine snorkelling experience. Tamariki will learn about the freshwater stream environment, coastal biodiversity, the wildlife that inhabits them, conservation initiatives, and snorkelling skills such as duck diving. Additional activities may include conservation themed games, and sharing from a taonga box.
