About the event

Come join us as we help to restore Te Kohuroa's/Matheson Bay's kelp forest in partnership with Te Kohuroa Rewilding Initiative. Get hands on experience with community led marine conservation and learn about the importance of this beautiful marine environment. Whilst not in the water you can learn more about your local marine and freshwater ecosystems through our citizen science activities, guided stream walks and info on our stalls. Safe fun for the whole whānau. Sea conditions permitting. Postponements via email, on website and facebook page.

This event is run in partnership with Te Kohuroa Rewilding Initiative, Ngāti Manuhiri Kaitiaki Charitable Trust, Wai Connection Project, Whitebait Connection, Auckland University Leigh Marine Lab, Restore Rodney East, Forest and Bird, Auckland Council and is funded by The Ministry for the Environment, The Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation, Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa and Foundation North.
