On arrival at the beach

  • Park on or near Kaka road near old whale oil boiling pots.
  • Sign in at the white TBG registration tent which will be on the green. Please do not check in before your scheduled time slot. Check your registration confirmation/ticket for your check in time (9am, 10:40am or 12:10pm). Don't print your ticket, all you need is the name the ticket was booked under.
  • Get fitted for all of your snorkel equipment (wetsuit, fins, snorkel and masks, boogie board and fish ID charts) for your group.
  • Meet your friendly snorkel guide for a safety briefing.
  • Try out your gear in the shallows, making sure everything fits and explore the water together for about 35 minutes. Snorkel through kelp forests and every colour seaweed you can think of and watch out for octopus, spotties, triple fins, blue cod, wrasse, greenbone, anemones, eagle rays and seahorses.

All equipment provided; no experience required. Ages 5+. FREE EVENT This is a free event thanks to our sponsors however, donations/koha are welcome. Navigate to the ticket page and click the donate button or our bank account is 031354042690000. Do you want to use your own snorkelling gear. You can bring your own equipment if you wish however, make sure that it is fit for purpose and functional by checking with your snorkel guide. Please NO full face masks and ONLY full body wetsuits (at least 5mm).
