About the event
Celebrate Seaweek and come join us in exploring the wonders of Takapuna Reef! Discover spotties, eagle rays, sweep, parore, nudibranchs and more! We will have experienced snorkel guides on hand to take you on an underwater tour of the reef. We have also partner with MERC to provide a giant paddle board experience for those who are keen to explore the reef from above the water. Whilst not on or in the water you can learn more about your local marine and freshwater environments at our info stalls or join us for some guided walks of the rock pools and fasinating geological features. We will have fun games and spot prizes also available. Fun for the whole whānau. Sea conditions permitting. Postponements via email, on website and facebook page.
This event is run in partnership with Whitebait Connection, Seaweek, Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre and Pupuke Birdsong Project and is funded by The Takapuna Devonport Local Board, The Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation and Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa.
